What are the uses of GPO3 material in transformers?

The core function of GPO3 material in transformers is electrical insulation and structural support, which is a key component material to ensure the safe and efficient operation of transformers.

Its specific functions can be divided into the following three categories:

-Electrical insulation protection: This is the core function of GPO3. It can effectively isolate the conductive components inside the transformer (such as windings, leads, and iron cores), prevent current leakage or short circuits between components with different potentials, and withstand high voltages (including instantaneous impulse voltages) generated during transformer operation, ensuring stable insulation performance and avoiding equipment failures caused by insulation failure.


-Structural fixation and support: GPO3 has a certain mechanical strength and can be processed into structural components such as braces, corner rings, partitions, and end plates. It is used to fix the position of transformer windings, iron cores, and leads, prevent displacement and deformation during transportation, installation, or operation (such as electromagnetic vibration), and maintain the stability of the internal structure of the transformer.


-High temperature resistance and heat dissipation assistance: GPO3 belongs to Class F insulation material, with a long-term temperature resistance of up to 155 ℃. It can adapt to the high temperature environment caused by iron core loss and winding copper loss during transformer operation, avoiding material failure due to high temperature aging. At the same time, its flat surface and specific structural design (such as gaps between partitions) can also assist in guiding the flow of transformer oil or air, improve heat dissipation efficiency, and maintain the operating temperature of the equipment within a safe range.
