What is the difference between GPO-3 and Epoxy materials?

May 26, 2026

GPO-3 is a thermosetting board made of polyester and glass fiber felt; Epoxy (FR4/G10/3240) is a board made of "epoxy resin+glass cloth/cotton cloth". The resin systems of the two are completely different, resulting in different heat resistance, arc resistance, strength, price, and usage.

1, Raw material system (fundamental difference)

- GPO-3(UPGM-203)
-Resin: Unsaturated polyester (non epoxy)
-Enhancement: Alkali free glass fiber felt (short cut/continuous felt, isotropic)
-Process: dipping → hot pressing → curing into a hard board
-Epoxy (FR4/G10/3240)
-Resin: Epoxy resin (mostly bisphenol A epoxy)
-Enhancement: Glass cloth (FR4/G10) or cotton cloth (3240) (woven cloth, directional)
-Process: dipping → laminating → high temperature curing
