More and more foreign customers are starting to use GPO-3 sheets produced in China. Many customers have the same question when they see samples, why are the surfaces of GPO-3 sheet produced in China different from those produced abroad. The pattern of glass fiber produced abroad is obvious, while the glass fiber cloth of GPO-3 sheet produced in China is not obvious and mostly has a bright surface. Customers will have questions, are these the same boards? Will it affect product performance?
The texture and gloss of GPO-3 sheet surface are different both domestically and internationally, and the core difference lies in the production process. The production process used for GPO-3 in foreign countries is lamination. After lamination and hot pressing, the glass fibers will produce through printing, and the surface glass fibers will be obvious with a matte finish. The domestic GPO-3 adopts a molding process, which uses a polished mirror mold. Under high temperature and high pressure, the resin on the surface of the board is squeezed and floated. The surface of the back plate after molding with the mirror mold will be rich in resin and glossy, covering the internal felt patterns and giving off a slightly glossy surface.
The main difference between the two is in production technology, with basic consistency in raw material formula, curing process, and post-treatment. This surface does not mean that the quality of domestic GPO-3 sheet is poor, and there is no difference in product performance.
