Description
3240 epoxy sheet is made by impregnating electrical glass cloth with epoxy resin, drying, and hot pressing.Implement the Chinese standard GB/T1303.1-1998.The substrate of G10 epoxy sheet also uses alkali free glass fiber cloth, but the fiber weaving density and lamination process may be more stringent. The implementation standard is the NEMA (Electrical Manufacturers Association) standard in the United States, which belongs to the "G" series of insulation materials.
The name 3240 represents its production and composition structure. Among them, "3" represents laminated products, "2" represents inorganic substrate boards, "4" represents usage temperatures within 155 degrees, heat resistance level B, and "0" is the code for product types. This type of board is also called epoxy laminated glass cloth sheet, which is made by pressing epoxy resin and glass cloth.
As a universal epoxy resin sheet, 3240 epoxy sheet has the largest proportion in power insulation materials, with about 60% of its application scenarios involving the electrical field (such as transformer winding support, bus duct partitions). Its price is moderate, balancing performance and cost, making it the preferred material for mid to low end electrical products
G10 is a composite material made by rolling glass fiber and resin. 'G' represents glass fiber, and '10' refers to the content of glass fiber being 10%. It is synthesized from electronic grade glass fiber cloth and epoxy resin, and has high mechanical strength and electrical insulation performance.
In summary, there are significant differences between 3240 epoxy resin sheet and G10 epoxy sheet in terms of composition structure, product characteristics, and main applications.
1. Our Production

The production process of 3240 epoxy sheet mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: Select high-quality epoxy resin, hardener, and reinforcement materials (such as fiberglass cloth).
Formula design: Determine the appropriate ratio of epoxy resin, hardener, and reinforcement material based on product performance requirements.
Surface treatment: Clean and polish the surface of the reinforcing material to ensure that the resin can better bond with the reinforcing material.
Immersion: Cut and immerse the reinforcing material into a mixture of epoxy resin and hardener to ensure uniform immersion, avoiding bubbles and uneven drying.
Stacking: The impregnated reinforcement material is stacked according to the design requirements to form a sheet structure, and multiple layers can be used to increase the thickness and strength of the sheet.
Curing: Place the stacked materials into a mold for curing treatment, allowing the epoxy resin and hardener to react and form a sturdy structure.
Cutting and trimming: Cut the cured sheet to the desired size and perform surface trimming to ensure flatness and appearance quality.
Heat curing: Place the board in a heat curing furnace for high-temperature treatment to improve its heat resistance and mechanical properties.
Testing and quality inspection: Conduct strict quality testing on the board to ensure that the product meets the standards.
Packaging and delivery: Packaging and labeling qualified epoxy sheet to prepare for delivery.

3. Application
