Composite sheet in which synthetic resin is used as matrix material. According to the different matrix resin used, it can be divided into epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, phenolic resin and so on.Epoxy resin is characterized by high compression and tensile strength. It can still maintain good mechanical properties under high temperature for a long time. It has good arc resistance, UV aging resistance and climate resistance. Unsaturated resin is characterized by light weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, excellent electrical performance, unique thermal performance, excellent processing performance and good material designability.
The disadvantage of epoxy resin is that the price is high, which is more than twice that of unsaturated polyester resin, and the curing time is long (unsaturated polyester resin can be cured within 1 hour, while epoxy resin needs more than 10 hours).
