What is the tensile strength data of common insulation sheet?

Feb 21, 2025

Here is a comparison of the tensile strength data of some common insulation sheet:

-Insulating rubber sheet: The standard requirement for tensile strength is ≥ 3MPa, and the general testing data can reach above 10MPa. For example, the testing data for 3mm thick insulating rubber sheet is 12.5MPa, and for 5mm thick insulation rubber sheet it is 10.5MPa.

-FR-4 epoxy glass cloth laminated sheet: tensile strength of about 340MPa.

-SMC molded sheet: tensile strength ≥ 70MPa.

-Unsaturated polyester fiberglass cloth molded sheet: The tensile strength is 150-240MPa.

-Flexible PCB (polyimide or polyester material): The tensile strength is about 150MPa.

-Electric wood sheet(phenolic resin board): The general tensile strength can reach about 40-60MPa.

-Mica insulation board: Soft mica sheet has good tensile properties, but specific data can generally meet specific processing shape requirements without delamination due to significant product differences.
