GPO-3 offers several advantages unmatched by other insulating materials, including the following:
- Excellent arc and tracking resistance: GPO-3 boasts an arc resistance time exceeding 180 seconds and a tracking resistance coefficient (CTI) value exceeding 600V. It maintains stable electrical performance in high-voltage, humid, or contaminated environments, effectively preventing arcing and tracking, and ensuring the safe operation of electrical systems.
- Excellent processability: GPO-3 can be easily processed using standard metalworking equipment, including stamping, drilling, machining, shearing, and sanding. Some grades, such as UTR, are easily formed at high speeds on machining centers and can be bent down to a minimum diameter of 19mm, meeting diverse manufacturing needs.
- Excellent flame retardancy and environmental performance: Some grades of GPO-3, such as UTR, are halogen-free and emit very little smoke or toxic fumes during a fire, complying with strict environmental regulations. Its flame retardancy rating reaches UL94 V-0, effectively preventing the spread of flames and enhancing equipment safety. - Stability in High-Temperature and High-Humidity Environments: GPO-3 achieves Class F heat resistance (greater than 160°C) and is UL-rated within the 120-210°C electronic and 130-210°C mechanical temperature ranges. It maintains excellent mechanical and electrical properties in high-temperature environments, while also exhibiting excellent electrical performance in high-humidity environments.
- Excellent Mechanical Strength and Shatter Resistance: As a high-strength glass fiber-reinforced polyester laminate, GPO-3 is resistant to shattering. The rigid laminate provides reliable structural support and possesses high mechanical strength and impact resistance.
